Graphic Designer
Responsibilities:
The graphic designer is responsible for the graphic identity of each project, details of production, and staying abreast of technical and creative resources in order to keep Anode competitive in the marketplace.
Requirements:
- Four-year degree in graphic design required
- Solid understanding of business and user goals while having a clear grasp of how to effectively present and move through information in creative and informative ways
- Good understanding of design parameters for video, slide presentations, interactive multimedia, web, environmental/large scale graphics, and digital signage systems
Computer Skills:
- Thorough understanding of basic computer operational procedures, Mac OS X and Windows XP operating systems, file organization, nomenclature, email, and word processing software
- Proficiency in standard suite of graphics/drawing programs, presentation programs, and an understanding of multimedia and web authoring programs
- Knowledge of paper stock, film output, printing processes and other types of color output including Raster graphics, color copies, and digital printing
Duties:
- Be proactive in understanding all materials associated with the project; its intended use, target audience, and final deliverable. Follow through to the end; making sure the project exceeds expectations
- Work with the creative director on designing creative graphic components of a project
- Design screens, layouts, and graphics associated with a variety of projects
- Create logos/type treatments, identity systems, print, web and screen layouts
- Attract screens for interactive projects, navigational controls, and other graphic elements as required
- Maintain consistency and continuity of creative concepts and project details
- Layout and produce print, slide, web, environmental/large scale graphics, and other component materials as required
- Attend press checks as required
Working Relationships:
The graphic designer reports directly to the president and works with the production team to provide design continuity within projects.
